    We all wait for the notification for SSC CGL exam 2023 and it is hence, important to know the crucial key of the exam and that is SSC CGL syllabus. We need to know the syllabus by heart because it is the foundational key to success.

    Remember: Don’t rush and start studying instead make sure that you go through the SSC CGL syllabus thoroughly and try to recollect as much as you can so you have a clarity in mind that what to study and what not to study. Don’t forget that “Clarity gives power”!

    Now, it is the right time for all of you to know the SSC CGL Exam syllabus to achieve your goal. SSC CGL exam is conducted in four tier: Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, Tier IV.

    We are going to understand the syllabus in a detailed manner based on the latest pattern and exam trends. The syllabus will give chapter-wise weightage of each topic, overview of the topics to be covered, pattern in which question are asked, how to prioritize your topics as well as the expected questions in the exam.

    We will discuss the SSC CGL exam syllabus for tier 1,2,3,4. It will give you right direction to decide which topics to be studied first and the topics to focus more on and cover first (We will also see SSC CGL Syllabus in Hindi)

    SSC CGL Syllabus 2023

    SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 is different (as per SSC CGL Notification) But if you want to be a All India Topper and get post of your choice its must to study in a synchronized manner. You need a comprehensive study which means preparation for Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 must go on parallely.

    First analyse SSC CGL Exam Pattern and syllabus for all stages (1, 2, 3 and 4) and then make a strategy which will be inclusive of the whole syllabus.

    Firstly, you must be aware that the Tier I exam is distributed among 4 subjects that are: General Intelligence and reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English and general awareness. You must know the topics they are going to ask you in exam.

    Note: You know that the Tier 1 exam is preliminary so there will be a tough competition as the number of applicants will be high (27 Lakh Plus). Hence, there will be negative marking 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

    Tip: Don’t panic for negative marking focus on studies and accuracy the more correct answer you tick the high probability of you clearing the preliminary round.

    SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier 2

    Now, you know that after giving the preliminary examination you have to prepare for the SSC CGL Tier II examination. We will suggest you that don’t wait for the results of the preliminary to be out and then you will start preparing instead make sure that you take a break for a week, get refreshed and start preparing for the next round because you know that the ultimate goal is to clear the examination.

    Tier II exam consists of the sections: Quantitative ability, English language, Statistics, and General studies (Finance and Economics). (Paper 1 and Paper 2 are compulsory for all posts)

    Each section will carry 200 marks and time will be allotted for each section that is two hours. The tier I and II will appear same to you but now the level of difficulty will increase in the examination. Check SSC CGL Tier 2 strategy for utmost clarity.

    Remember:

    • Negative marking can ruine your attempt. So, maintain acuracy.
    • 2 hours and 40 minutes will be allotted to handicapped candidate for each section

    SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier 3

    The mode of the SSC CGL tier 3 examination will be offline mode (Descriptive paper). You have to attempt the descriptive paper in the SSC tier III examination. The language of the paper will be either in English or Hindi. The time allotted for the examination will be 60 minutes and it will carry 100 marks exam.

    Syllabus of SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam :

    • Essay writing
    • Formal letter writing
    • Informal letter writing

    Note:

    • The time allotted is 60 minutes and to the handicapped candidate will be 80 minutes
    • The SSC CGL Tier 3 examination is important as its marks will also be considered in calculating merit list.

    SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier 4

    SSC CGL Tier IV exam consists of two tests and you don’t have to worry for the tier IV examination as it is easy but you just practice before giving the test.

    1.      Data entry speed test

    • The test will check your typing speed
    • You have to type the given paragraph
    • The allotted time for the test is 15 minutes

    2.      Computer proficiency test

    • The computer proficiency test will test your skills such as the MS word, excel and power point
    • The time allotted for the test is 45 minutes
    • Make sure that you have the necessary skillset require to qualify the test

    • The SSC CGL tier 4 examination is just qualifying in nature.
    • This stage is not mandatory for all posts.
    • Tier 1, 2, 3 is compulsory for all while Tier 4 is only for the selective posts.
