We will majorly focus on UPSC CAPF Cut off for last 5 years which will give you a clear idea about clearing cut off of UPSC CAPF Exam 2020. First of all, we will discuss UPSC CAPF Exam Pattern at a glance so that understanding the CAPF Cut off scenario will be easy.

UPSC CAPF Assitant Commandant Exam is conducted in 3 Main stages:

Written Examination (Objective + Descriptive)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Test

You need to understand 2 types of UPSC CAPF Cut Off Marks:

CAPF Written Exam Cut Off (Out of 250, Only Paper 1)= To Qualify Stage 1
CAPF Overall Cut Off (Out of 600)= To find your Name in ‘Final Merit List’

If Only Paper 1 Marks are considered in Cut Off, then what is the relevance of Paper 2 (Descriptive Paper)?

UPSC CAPF Paper 1 Marks are considered in Cut off Calculation. But you need to know that Paper 2 of UPSC CAPF is Qualifying in Nature. You need to score minimum 25% Marks in Paper 2 to qualify for Next Stage of Exam (Minimum Qualifying Marks are different for Ex-Servicemen which you can see in the image below!)

But you must aim to score high marks in Paper 2 also. Because Paper 2 Marks will be considered in Final Merit List (Out of 600)!

Is UPSC CAPF Cut Off different for various Categories?

Yes. Reservation exists in UPSC CAPF Exam. So, UPSC CAPF Cut off will be different for different categories like General, SC, ST, OBC, and Ex-Servicemen. (We will see UPSC CAPF Cut off for all the categories for more clarity!)
