What is INET Exam?
INET Full Form= “Indian Navy Entrance Test“
Other defence exams like UPSC CDS, UPSC NDA are conducted by Union Public Service Commission. But the INET Exam is conducted by Indian Navy to recruit officers in the Executive Branch, Technical Branch and Educational Branch of Indian Navy. INET exam can be compared with AFCAT exam in terms of conducting exam and recruiting officers in various departments. You can join Permanent Commission as well as Short Service Commission in Indian Navy via INET Exam.
INET Exam Pattern 2020
INET Exam is a computer-based examination conducted for selection of Direct Entry Officers for candidates who have completed graduation. INET Exam is conducted in exam centers all over India in mutliple shifts. You need to give exam at exam center and your result will be declared roughly around 30-40 days after the written exam.
INET Written Exam is conducted twice a year (In September and February). INET Exam is also conducted in 3 stages (similar to AFCAT) which include:
- INET Written Exam
- SSB Interview
- Clearing SSB Medicals and Final Merit List
You need to prepare for various stages of INET Exam in a comprehensive way (and not in isolated manner). Complete INET Exam is a 8-9 months process. So, you need to keep consistency and perseverance for large span of time.

How to apply for INET Exam ?
INET Exam Notification will be released 2 times in a year. You need to register only once on the official website by filling personal, communication and educational details and uploading necessary documents. After that, based on your eligibility for the INET Exam, you will automatically receive email alerts on registered mail ID when application of INET Exam will be released!
