Hello defence aspirants. We are back with a detailed article on “Different Ways to Join Indian Navy as an Officer“. Generally we all are aware about different entries to join Indian Army as officer. Moreover, many aspirants are not aware of various career opportunities in Indian Navy. So, We will cover A to Z Entries (Direct Entry + Written Exam Entry) for Male as well as Female candidates so that you are well aware of all the entries into Indian Navy. I have seen many aspirants who couldn’t become Officers in Indian Navy just because they were not aware about the entry. So, make sure that you read this detailed guide till the end and do not miss any opportunity to be Officer in Indian Navy

(We don’t just provide details, but also detailed strategy to crack each exam!)

Ways to Join Indian Navy as an Officer!

We will go through 10+ Entries to Join Indian Navy as an Officer. We will be discussing Direct Entry as well as Written Exam Entry in detail. So, let us see some basics which will help us to understand each and every entry in a more better way.

    1. Written Exam Entry:  You might be aware of these entries in which your First Stage is Written Exam. You need to qualify the written exam to be eligible for Further Stages like SSB Interview and Medical Test (which needs systematic preparation for the exam!)
    2. Direct Entry: In Direct Entry of Indian Navy, you directly qualify for SSB Interview (without written examination). Shortlisting is done based on your graduation marks, NCC C Certificate, or any other academic parameters specificed by Indian Navy based on the post and entry you have applied for.
    3. SSB Interview: You cannot skip SSB Interview if you want to join Indian Navy as an officer (Technical, Non-Technical, Pilot, ATC, NCC Entry, etc). In simple terms, if you want to be Officer in Indian Armed forces, you have to clear SSB Interview (5 Days Interview) irrespective of your entry.
    4. Is SSB Interview of Direct Entry Difficult than other entries?  Theoretically No. (SSB Interview is same for all entries) But practically yes. Because many aspirants are eligible for Direct Entry which drastically increases competition for Direct Entries (Reporting of aspirants for SSB Interview for Direct Entries is pretty high than those who are eligible after clearing written exam like NDA, CDS, INET, etc)
