IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2020
IBPS PO exam is conducted once in a year and is conducted into 3 Main Stages:
IBPS PO Exam Pattern is divided into 3 stages. Preliminary exam is stage 1 which contains all objective type questions on different sections. It is a “Screening Test” to select only the desiring aspirants from lakhs of aspirants who apply for the exam.
This can be confirmed with the fact that IBPS PO Prelims exam is Qualifying in Nature. Its marks are not calculated in Final Merit List!
Aspirants who have cleared the IBPS PO exam Prelims Cutoff will qualify for the stage 2, that is, IBPS PO Mains Examination. Your final selection in IBPS PO exam is directly proportional to Mains Score. So, your score must be as high as possible in Mains Examination.
IBPS PO Final Merit List= 80% Weightage to Mains + 20% Weightage to PI
It means that your IBPS PO Prelims exam is just qualifying in Nature to be eligible for IBPS PO Mains (Stage 2). IBPS PO Final Merit list is calculated considering your Mains and Personal Interview score (By Normalization Method).
